Peace & Blessings Beloved,
I pray all is well with you and yours, and that your week has been fruitful & blessed thus far.
As we experience another day, it is my prayer that we recognize the vastness of who God is to us. The verse above is a reminder of just that, as it illustrates that our Heavenly Father, YHWH, has us covered from every perspective.
Firstly, He is described as our rock. We know that a rock is solid, and is even used by Jesus to illustrate what it means to have a solid foundation, or relationship with God, as opposed to being of the world, or trying to play both sides. The message here is that God should be the central focus of our lives. Our values, ideology, thoughts, words, & actions should reflect His nature, & His will for our lives.
Next, He is described as our fortress. Now, if we think about the concept of war, or more directly, an attack from an enemy we should understand the importance of having a fortress in which we can stay to remain protected against the enemy, from every side & angle. God desires to be our safety, as we know that we’re in constant battle against evil, in spirit form, & He can help us defeat & bind every evil that seeks to overtake us.
Lastly, & most significant, is the fact that God is our Savior. Now, in order to fully understand the gravity of that notion we must recognize that we need saving in the first place. God’s word tells us directly that we were born into sin, & thusly giving to a sin nature because of our ancestor’s offense against God, by disobeying His command in the Garden of Eden, & worshipping satan by choosing to worship & exalt self. As a result of this decision, instigated living in perfect & eternal peace, joy, love, & sinlessness, we instead are born destined to spend eternity apart from God, in permanent torment.
With this as a backdrop it becomes infinitely meaningful to be saved from this destiny. And that’s why we should be humbled and take great joy & pleasure in YHWH wanting to save us from ourselves & bring us back to communion & fellowship with Him for eternity.
It is my prayer that we understand the significance of trusting in God with every part of us, believing that He will never leave or forsake us, that others might see us, & desire to have a relationship with Him!
May the joy of the Lord continue to be your strength.
Depend on Him, & not self. His track record is proven
Love you much, be abundantly blessed!
